The Legacy, a 437A-Driven 300B, and a Revised Single-Ended Article
Three additions today.
The Legacy is now online: my single-ended 300B amplifier with a pentode driver (EL84, later Siemens C3m) and a fully valve-regulated power supply, which also runs 2A3 and 45 output valves. It is the second entry under Designs.
Some Thoughts about Single-Ended Valve Amplifiers has been revised: corrected throughout, illustrated with amplifiers from my archive, and with the harmonic distortion profiles of four driver stages driving a 300B, which used to be a separate page. Additions are marked as such.
A 300B Single-Ended Amplifier with a WE 437A Driver is my English version of an article first published in German on Jogi’s Röhrenbude: a Chinese 300B kit rebuilt as a two-stage amplifier, with chokes, a quiet supply and a few tricks from the Western Electric books.
