Published here

Everything I have written, drawn or photographed for this site is free to use. You may republish it, translate it, excerpt it, build on it and use it commercially, as long as you credit me and link back.

Formally, it is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0).

What is covered

  • Articles, essays and position papers, including the archive copies of my own earlier writing.
  • Drawings, graphs, diagrams and calculated figures I made.
  • Photographs I own, including photographs of me.
  • Design files: schematics, PCB layouts and manuals, including the PDF downloads.

What is not covered

  • Material by other people, credited to them where it appears: graphs, drawings, cartoons, quotes and figures. Ask their owners.
  • In the archive copies, the original sites’ own design, logos and adverts.
  • Names and trademarks, including my name and those of the companies I have worked for or with. The licence lets you use the material, not the names to endorse a product.

How to credit

Name me, name the piece, link to it, and say if you changed it. For example:
