New: Transparence, a Sick CAT and the Edison 300B

Three additions since the site went up.

The Transparence is an open-baffle loudspeaker: one 215 mm Supravox driver on a clear acrylic baffle, no crossover, with the driver placed at the golden ratio. It began as a DIY project in 2003, and ten pairs were built commercially. The page has the dimensions, my 2003 impressions, the subwoofer I used, and the AnandTech measurements.

Curing a sick CAT is the first entry in the new Repairs section: a Convergent Audio JL2 that arrived in poor health, what was wrong with it and what was done.

The Edison 60 to 300B conversion is now the first entry under Designs.
